MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

NOAA 1040, N30W82 at 14:00 UT, produced a C2.1 event at 01/17/44:33 UT. 1040 continues in decay phase as it rotates over the west limb. Old NOAA 1039 or a new region in the location of 1039 just beyond the SE limb was the source of two B-class events today (B7.5 at 03:30 UT and a B8.4 at 05:54 UT). Both 1040 and old 1039 are capable of producing an isolated C-class event today but we'll stick with NOAA 1040 to watch it rotate off the visible solar disk and switch to the SE region tomorrow.

The position of NOAA 1040 on January 18 at 04:00UT is: N30W82 (Solar X = 836", Solar Y = 496"

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
