MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

NOAA 1041 produced an M3.4 x-ray event at 01/20/17:55 UT and two C-class events since the last message. At this time 1041 is classified as a simple Cko-beta sunspot group. Its magnetic configuration must have been more complex before it rotated completely onto the disk. C-class events are possible with an isolated M-class event much less likely today but still possible.

The position of NOAA 1041 on January 21 at 14:00UT is: S25E69 (Solar X = -826", Solar Y = -382")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
