MM#003 Major Flare Watch

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

NOAA 1045 has decayed significantly since the last message. Only a tiny weak magnetic delta remains within the intermediate portion of the region. 1045 produced an M1.0 event at 02/08/21:23 UT and numerous C-class events. A major flare is much less likely but still a slight possibility today.

The position of NOAA 1045 on February 09 at 14:30 UT is: N23W25 (Solar X = 379", Solar Y = 471")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.

Regards,
