MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The target region, NOAA 1046, has decayed soon after the impulsive M8 major flare yesterday. New flux emerged rapidly near the trailing portion of NOAA 1045 and was the source of the M1.1 event at 02/12/18:08 UT and an active region located beyond the east limb at N18 was the source of a C9.6 event at 02/13/12:39 UT. C-class events are expected from all three regions with the possibility of an isolated M-class event as well. The target will most likely switch to the NE limb region tomorrow as it rotates onto the visible solar disk.

The position of NOAA 1046 on February 13 at 15:30 UT is: N24W09 (Solar X = 139", Solar Y = 497")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
