Date: Thu, 18 Feb 2010 11:04:25 -0500

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar activity remains at low levels. NOAA 1048 continues to decay. A new region has emerged in the southern hemisphere close to the central meridian and has a beta magnetic configuration. It had been designated NOAA 1049 and shall be the new target region. Chance for some low-level activity if the region continues to develop.

The position of NOAA 1049 on 18-Feb-2010 at 15:30 UT is:

S19W07, ( 112", -204" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
