MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The target filament was very dynamic yesterday displaying significant mass motion with a portion of the filament slowly disappearing. The target of choice will switch to the new region in the northeast quadrant - NOAA 1054. 1054 emerged rapidly and is currently classified as a D-type sunspot group with a beta magnetic configuration. There is also an EFR located at S23W10. B-class events expected with a slight chance of an isolated C-class event if 1054 continues in growth phase.

The position of NOAA 1054 on March 11 at 13:30 UT is: N12E48 (Solar X = -704", Solar Y = 279")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
