Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Date: Thu, 14 Oct 2010 09:44:37 -0700

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar activity has increased slightly with the production of five B class flares in the past 24 hours. With NOAA 11112 well into its decay phase, the newly numbered NOAA 11113 on the north east limb will become today's target. This is the return of NOAA 11109/11110 which produced a number of C class events during it's last passage. As the region is still close to the limb, the magnetic topology is difficult to ascertain. However, it appears to contain at least one large leader spot. NOAA 11113 is the most likely region to flare, with B and C class events possible although, there is also a chance that the filament south of NOAA 11112 may erupt in the coming days.

The position of NOAA 11113 on 14-Oct-2010 at 16:30 UT is:

N17E66, ( -841", 241" )
