MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar flare activity continues at a very low level. All regions on the visible solar disk are stable or in decay phase. The target will be the spotless plage located in the NE quadrant. This spotless region was the source of the C5.4 event on May 9 and the C1.8 event on May 12. The filament located along the region's main magnetic inversion line that was associated with the C1.8 event has reformed. There is only a very slight chance of another C-class event from the target region in the next 24 hours.

The position of the target region on May 13 at 13:00 UT is: N17E44 (Solar X = -633", Solar Y = 311")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
