MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The target region, now numbered NOAA 1283 (N12E62), was the source of a C2.2 event at 08/31/13:22 UT. The largest event in the past 24 hours was produced by NOAA 1281. New flux rapidly emerged in the trailing portion of the region overnight. 1281 currently has a D-type/beta sunspot group. The target will switch from 1283 to 1281 for at least the next 24 hour period. Another C-class event is possible.

The position of NOAA 1281 on August 31 at 15:30 UT is: S20E31 (Solar X = -461", Solar Y = -419")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
