Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The level of solar activity remains very low. NOAA region 11389 has decayed significantly in the past 24 hours. The largest flare since the last message was a C2.1 event on 5-Jan-2012 at 11:51 UT from NOAA 11392, classed as a beta/B-type sunspot group. Although this region is primarily comprised of diffuse negative polarity plage field, positive flux emergence was recorded during the two days prior to the C2.1 flare. Further C-class activity possible if the region continues to add positive flux.
The position of NOAA 11392 on 6-Jan-2012 at 11:30 UT is:
N21W25, ( 390", 402" )
