Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Date: Tue, 17 Jan 2012 10:31:30 +0000

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The Max Millennium MOTD will continue as usual throughout the RHESSI detector annealing. For details, see http://solar.physics.montana.edu/hypermail/mmscience/0830.html

Solar activity is at a moderate level. NOAA region 11401 has continued to be flare productive, being the source of several C-class events and an M1.0 event on 17-Jan-2012 at 04:41 UT. This region has increased in area while maintaining number of spots and is now classified as a beta/E-type sunspot group. Further C-class activity is expected, with a small chance for another low M-class event in the next 24 hours.

The position of NOAA 17-Jan-2012 at 10:30 UT is:

N17E45, ( -664", 339" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
