Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Date: Wed, 15 Feb 2012 09:05:42 -0800

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar activity is low. Many of the current active regions are decaying, including NOAA 11419 - yesterday's target region. This AR has not produced any flares in the past 24 hours and now consists of two small sunspots, surrounded by a large plage region. Today's target will shift back to NOAA 11416. This region, which has been flare quiet since its emergence, has begun to produce B class flares. In addition, a region of reverse polarity flux is emerging within the leader spot, increasing the chance of activity.

The position of NOAA 111416 on 15-Feb-2012 14:00 UT is:

S21 W46, ( 654", -271" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
