Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar activity is at a low level as NOAA regions 11434 and 11435 rotate towards the South West limb. An unnumbered region is in the process of emerging in the Southern hemisphere and was the source of a B4.3 flare on 20-Mar-2012 at 14:50 UT. This region has experienced relatively fast emergence and seems to be at least a beta magnetic classification (maybe beta-gamma). C-class activity is possible if the region is confirmed as having magnetic polarity mixing and/or undergoes further flux emergence.

The approximate position of this region on 21-Mar-2012 at 12:00 UT is:

S26W16, ( 245", -319" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
