Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Date: Wed, 11 Apr 2012 10:18:16 +0100

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The level of solar activity remains low. Yesterday's target was the source of 2 B-class flares and is now designated as NOAA 11454 with a beta/C-type sunspot group classification. A newly spotted region appeared in the North East quadrant a few hours before today's NOAA number designations were issued. This region has experienced bipolar flux emergence within pre-existing negative plage field, displaying some polarity mixing between the primary leading and trailing spots. B-class events are probable in the next 24 hours, with a chance for C-class activity if this new region continues to emerge new flux.

The approximate position of this region on 11-Apr-2012 at 09:30 UT is:

N08E16, ( -263", 226" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
