MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The target region, now numbered NOAA 1461, was the source of an M1.7 limb event at 04/16/17:40 UT. The event produced a very impressive flare spray off the northeast limb. The region also produced two C-class events. 1461 is currently an unimpressive plage with an H-type/alpha sunspot group. Additional C-class activity is possible in the next 24 hour period.

The position of NOAA 1461 on April 17 at 03:30 UT is: N12E75 (Solar X = -904", Solar Y = 221")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
