Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Date: Fri, 10 Aug 2012 10:03:13 +0100

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The newly emerged region near the south pole has now been designated as NOAA 11544 but has been quiescent over the past 24 hours. NOAA 11542, on the other hand, has undergone some new flux emergence and produced a C8.4 flare at 11:36 UT yesterday. At this time the target region shall revert back to NOAA 11542 due to the increased likelihood of further C-level activity.

The position of NOAA 11542 on 10-Aug-2012 at 09:00 UT is:

S14E32, ( -487", -316" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
