MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Target region NOAA 1589 produced two C-class events in the past 24 hours. A new region located behind the northeastern limb was the source of four occulted C-class events today. The largest was a C7.4 at 10/17/07:57 UT. We'll switch from 1589 to the northeast limb today. Additional C-class events probable with a chance of an isolated M-class event in the next 24 hour period.

The approximate position of the target on October 17 at 08:00 UT is: N05E89 (Solar X = -959", Solar Y = 082")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
