MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

NOAA 1654 is mostly unchanged maintaining its large F-type/beta-gamma sunspot group. Despite its large magnetically complex configuration and dynamic bright H-alpha plage, 1654 has failed to produce a major event =>M5. The largest events today ( M1.0 at 00:50 and M1.7 at 08:38 UT) were produced by NOAA 1652, N19W22. 1652 and target 1654 are expected to produce C-class events with the chance of an M-class event in the next 24 hour period.

The position of NOAA 1654 on January 13 at 14:00 UT is: N08E10 (Solar X = -168", Solar Y = 209")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
