Subject: MM#018 Great Flare Watch" -

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The level of solar activity is high. NOAA 11882 remains the most active region on disk. This region is now sufficiently on disk for a reliable magnetic classification and is designated as a beta-gamma-delta/D-type sunspot group. NOAA 11882 has grown in area and number of spots in the previous 24 hours, with the delta consisting of the primary leading and primary trailing spots. This region continues to produce significant flare activity (6 M-class events since yesterday's message). The MM#018 Great Flare Watch will remain in effect for the next 24 hours, as 11882 retains the potential for a >X1 flare.

The position of NOAA 11882 on 26-Oct-2013 at 20:00 UT is:

S08E48, ( -711", -189" )
