MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Target region NOAA 1893 was the source of an isolated M1.2 limb occulted event at 11/21/11:11 UT. 1893 is now located beyond the west limb. The new target region is NOAA 1897. 1897 is currently displaying a D-type/beta-gamma sunspot group. 1897 produced a C1.8 event at 11/21/09:08 UT. The new target position will also catch possible activity from SW regions 1893,1895, and 1900. C-class event possible with only a slight chance of an isolated M-class event.

The position of NOAA 1897 on November 21 at 16:30 UT is: S18W68 (Solar X = 857", Solar Y = -312")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
