Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Date: Fri, 2 May 2014 10:24:51 +0100

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar activity remains below the C1 level. NOAA 12049 continues to show signs of growth but has remained quiescent. NOAA 12047, on the other hand, has undergone a resurgence and increased in both size and complexity over the past 24 hours. The region is now classified as a beta-gamma region due to rapid flux emergence in the core of the region. NOAA 12047 shall be the new target region and may produce C-level activity. If possible, also include nearby NOAA 12051 in your field of view as it also appears to be developing.

The position of NOAA 12047 on 2-May-2014 at 07:35 UT is:

S18W17, ( 265", -233" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
