</address> <pre> </pre> Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
<br />Solar activity has increased significantly. The new region on the
northeast limb was the source of an X2.7 flare at 22:05 UT yesterday
and has been designated as NOAA 12339. The region appears to have a
beta-gamma-delta/E-type configuration and is showing signs of negative
polarity flux emergence within the positive core of the region. At
this time we are implementing a Major Flare Watch campaign due to the
increased probability of additional flaring greater than the M5 level.
