Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity continues to be very low. NOAA region 12401 appeared to slow in its decay over the past 24 hours and remains classified as a beta/C-type sunspot group. A new region rotated over the South East limb yesterday and has been designated as NOAA 12403. This region is also classified as a beta/C-type sunspot group, but may have polarity mixing in its interior obscured by still being too close to the limb. 12403 produced B-class activity since the last message, including the largest flare of the period (a B6.8 on 19-Aug-2015 at 10:48 UT). More B-class flaring is expected over the next 24 hours, with a chance for some C-class activity.
The position of NOAA 12403 on 19-Aug-2015 at 13:00 UT is:
S12E57, ( -778", -256" )
