MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar flare activity is very low. The background x-ray flux is currently at the B1.9 level. The largest event in the past 24 hours was an isolated C2.2 at 12/02/04:45 UT produced by target region NOAA 2458. 2458 continues to slowly decay within its leader sunspot portion but developed new flux yesterday within its trailing sunspot portion. Another C-class event is possible in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 2458 on December 02 at 12:35 UT is: N09W58 (Solar X = 816", Solar Y = 145")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
