Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity has picked up slightly since the last message due to the appearance of a new active region on the eastern limb. The region has produced several B-class flares, as well as a C1.8 flare at 11:31 UT today. The region is currently unnumbered, and it magnetic configuration is unknown, but it shall be the new target region. Additional low-level events possible.
The approximate position of the target region on 6-Jan-2016 at 21:30 UT is:
N02E75, ( -944", 49" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
