Date: Fri, 8 Jan 2016 09:55:34 -0500

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at low levels. The target region has now be designated as NOAA 12480 and is classified as having a beta/D-type configuration. It has produced a series of B-class flares since the last message, including a C1.0 flare at 06:11 UT yesterday. The trailing portion of the region appears to be in decay but further low level events are possible.
The position of NOAA 12480 on 8-Jan-2016 at 12:35 UT is:
N03E50, ( -748", 92" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
