Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low level, but seems to increase slightly. There was a filament eruption at ~17:30 UT on January 26 from NOAA 12486 (S18W40), which was accompanied with a two-ribbon flare (C1.3, being the largest event in the past 24 hours) as well as a beautiful CME. Yesterday's target region NOAA 12488 has decayed somewhat. Another region NOAA 12489 has shown some signs of development with a beta/D-type classification. 12489 was the source of a few high-level B-class events and a C1.0 flare at 13:26 UT today. Further C-class activities are expected in the following 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 12489 on January 27 at 15:35 UT is:
N10E30 (Solar X = -481", Solar Y = 250")
