Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Date: Tue, 23 Feb 2016 13:36:06 +0200

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The level of solar activity continues to be very low. Although it remains unnumbered by NOAA, yesterday’s target region close to the South East limb exhibits small spots with no penumbra in a bipolar magnetic configuration (making it a small beta/B-type sunspot group classification). This continued to be the only region producing flares since the last message, being the source of a B9.7 event on 23-Feb-2016 at 01:01 UT. Further B-class activity is probable over the following 24 hours, with a chance of resuming C-class flaring.
The approximate position of this region on 23-Feb-2016 at 12:00 UT is:
S07E73, ( -921", -83" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
