MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar flare activity is extremely low. The current visible disk is spotless again today. The background x-ray flux is flat at the B1.1 level. Target region NOAA 2551 is now completely beyond the west limb. All of the remaining regions are decaying and stable. The target will switch to a dark and somewhat active filament located in the northeastern quadrant. The filament activation, if it continues, may result in the filament becoming eruptive.
The position of the target filament on June 04 at 07:45 UT is: N29E43 (Solar X = 566", Solar Y = 462")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
