MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar flare activity is extremely low. The visible solar disk is spotless. The background x-ray flux is currently flat at the A6.1 level. The last recordable x-ray event was a tiny A7.1 event at 01/06/08:03 UT. Its source was located beyond the southwestern limb at S08. The spotless target plage is mostly unchanged and quiescent. No significant solar activity expected in the next 24 hour period.
The position of the target on January 08 at 13:30 UT is: N13W38 (Solar X = 587", Solar Y = 271")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
