Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is very low. NOAA 12628 showed some growth in spot area and magnetic polarity mixing since the last message, and it is currently classified as a beta-gamma/D-type sunspot group. This region produced the only flare in the past 24 hours, a B2.4 on 22-Jan-2017 at 12:23 UT. B-class flares are expected over the following 24 hours, with a chance for C-class.
The position of NOAA 12628 on 22-Jan-2017 at 19:30 UT is:
N12E25, ( -408", 282" )
