MM#003 Major Flare Watch
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Major Flare Watch target region, NOAA 2644, was the source of two major events since the last message. (M5.7 at 04/02/20:33 UT and an M5.8 at 04/03/14:29 UT). 2644 also produced a few lower-level M-class events and numerous C-class events. 2644 remains in growth phase maintaining its large and magnetically complex F-type/beta-gamma-delta sunspot group. NOAA 2645, S10W34, is also a large E-type/beta-gamma-delta region but is currently not producing major flares. 2644 has the potential to produce another major => M5 flare with a slight chance of an X-class flare in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 2644 on April 03 at 13:30 UT is: N12W73 (Solar X = 898", Solar Y = 228")
