MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 2671 is still slowly developing adding spot count and area and magnetic complexity. 2671 was the source of numerous B-class events since the last message. 2671 extended its sunspot group to an F-type group with a beta-gamma-delta magnetic classification. The weak delta configuration, located within the intermediate portion of the region, is currently displaying an absence of bright H-alpha emission over the umbrae. B-class activity expected, C-class events probable with a slight chance of an isolated M-class event in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 2671 on August 17 at 14:45 UT is: N11E42 (Solar X = -625", Solar Y = 099")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
