Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at low levels for the past 24 hours. There are four active regions with sunspots on the visible disk currently. The most active region, i.e., the target region NOAA 12674, has a beta/E-type magnetic configuration. 12674 produced two B3.1 events (the largest ones of the period) on August 31. 12674 continues to show dynamic surges visible in H-alpha images. B- and C-class activities are possible in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 12674 on September 1 at 07:30 UT is:
N13E49 (-700", 136")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
