MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar flare activity continues extremely low. The visible solar disk is currently spotless. NOAA 2727 has rotated well beyond the west limb. The target will switch to a filament located in the southern polar zone. The center of the 40 degree long filament is currently showing an active phase. The activation may continue until this portion of the filament disappears.
The position of the target filament on November 22 at 07:45 UT is: S50W20 (Solar X = 214", Solar Y = -766")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
