MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
The southern polar zone target filament slowly disappeared in the past 24 hour period. The new target will be NOAA 2728 (B-type/beta sunspot group). 2728 is an EFR located near center sun. The EFR was the source of 6 minor A-class events and a B1.1 event at 11/24/02:13 UT. 2728 developed rapidly but now appears to have stabilized. Another B-class event is possible in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 2728 on November 24 at 13:45 UT is: N06E04 (Solar X = -068", Solar Y = 073")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
