MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
Solar flare activity continues at a very low level. The spotless target plage (S06W22) is decaying slowly and quiescent. The target will switch to a recently emerged small plage. The new target is currently displaying a few tiny pores and moderately bright H-alpha. No significant change in solar flare activity expected in the next 24 hour period.
The position of the target on December 31 at 13:45 UT is: N10E02 (Solar X = -034", Solar Y = 219")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
