MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
Solar flare activity has returned to an extremely low level. The current solar disk is spotless. Target region NOAA 2732 has rotated well beyond the northwestern limb. The target will switch to a plage in advanced decay phase. The spotless decaying plage has had a small filament located along its main magnetic inversion line that has displayed some activation (disappearing and reappearing) in the past few days. No significant events expected anytime soon.
The position of target on January 08 at 13:45 UT is: N12E27 (Solar X = -435", Solar Y = 260")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
