MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
Solar flare activity is still at an extremely low level. The current visible solar disk is spotless and plageless. The background x-ray flux is flat at the A0.0 level. The target filament disappeared in the past 24 hour period. The target today will be a new active filament. No noteworthy solar activity expected anytime soon.
The approximate position of the target on January 13 at 08:45 UT is: N05W38 (Solar X =601", Solar Y = 143")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
