Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at an extremely low level with the GOES soft X-ray flux flat at ~A6. There remains spotless on the visible disk. Yesterda's target filament remains weak. Today the target will switch to the new flux emerging region in the southwest quadrant. No flaring activity is expected in the next 24 hours.
The approximate position of the target on July 1 at 19:30 UT is:
S21W13 (190", -380”)
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
