MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
Deep solar minimum conditions continue. The visible solar disk is spotless and nearly plageless. The tiny target plage NOAA 2744 remains in decay phase. The target will switch to a filament located in the southwestern polar zone. The filament is currently displaying an activated phase. This activation may die away or increase resulting in the filament to erupt in the next 24 hour period.
The approximate position of the target on July 15 at 06:45 UT is: S53W43 (Solar X = 388", Solar Y = -785")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
