MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
The visible solar disk is spotless and plageless with only a few short filaments and small prominences. The large faint target prominence has almost entirely disappeared except for a small brighter remnant. Deep solar minimum conditions are expected to continue during the next 24 hour period.
The approximate position of the target on August 24 at 10:30 UT is: S43E83 (Solar X = -689", Solar Y = -653")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
Regards,
