Spotless target region NOAA 2759 continues to slowly decay. In the past 24 hours 2759 was the source of minor A-class events and a long-duration B1.6 event at 04/09/09:32 UT. The B1.6 event was associated with an active filament located along its main magnetic inversion line. A-class activity probable with the possibility of another B-class event in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 2759 on April 09 at 12:30 UT is: N28W57 (Solar X = 711", Solar Y = 496")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
