Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at very low levels, although the background X-ray flux has risen since the last message due to an emerging flux region in the southeast quadrant. The bipolar region is small and compact with a small pore associated with the negative leader spot. This shall be the new target region although no significant change in activity is expected over the next 24 hours.
The approximate position of the target region on 15-Jul-2020 at 11:00 UT is:
S31E28, ( -387", -541" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
