Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is low. The target region NOAA 12770 continues to be classified as a beta/C-type sunspot group but it now appears to be losing its trailing polarity spots. NOAA 12770 was the source of a C1.5 flare on 8-Aug-2020 at 03:42 UT (the first C-class flare in over 2 months). More B-class activity is probable over the next 24-hour period, with a small chance for another low C-class event.
The position of NOAA 12770 on 8-Aug-2020 at 13:00 UT is:
N23E15 , ( -226", 276" )
