Dear Collaborators,
Quiet-Sun conditions have returned after the long duration A2.9 flare yesterday, which peaked at 12:54 UT and appeared to last for over 12 hours. The active region remnant in the northeast quadrant where the flare originated shall continue to be the target region with chance for an additional isolated low-level event over the next 24 hours.
The approximate position of the target region on 8-Aug-2020 at 11:00 UT is:
N28E36, ( -498", 360" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
