MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
The visible solar disk is spotless. The large decaying target region (return of NOAA 2768) is mostly unchanged. The dynamic active/eruptive filament running along the region's main magnetic inversion line disappeared since the last message. It is possible it will reappear in the next 24 hours. No noteworthy solar flare events expected in the next 24 hour period.
The position of the target on September 04 at 10:00 UT is: N32W40 (Solar X =521", Solar Y = 424")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
