Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a background level. No flares have occurred since the last message. The visible solar disk remains spotless. Yesterday's target region has almost disappeared. Today the target will switch to a region in the northwest quadrant (as mentioned yesterday), which has begun to decay. Quiet conditions will continue in the next 24 hours.
The approximate position of the target on September 15 at 9:00 UT is:
N21W66 (800", 300")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
