MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
The current visible solar disk is spotless and plageless. Target region NOAA 2773 was the source of two limb occulted A-class events since the last message. The largest was an A5.1 at 10/06/16:54 UT. 2773 is now located well beyond the northwestern limb but it will continue to be the target for the next 24 hour period. Some minor limb activity is still possible in the next 24 hours.
The approximate position of NOAA 2773 on Oct. 07 at 09:30 UT is: N34W91 (Solar X = 796", Solar Y = 535")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
