MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 2790 was the source of a long duration C1.6 x-ray event at 12/05/00:38 UT. The optical flare was associated with an active/eruptive filament running along the region's U-shaped magnetic inversion line. 2790 added a few tiny trailing polarity spots in the past 24 hours. B-class events probable with a slight chance of another C-class event in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 2790 on December 05 at 11:00 UT is: S23E20 (Solar X = -308", Solar Y = -386")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
